Friends of Firefighters 5k Road Race

Come out to join us in a fun road race to help us support Firefighters in the state of Georgia with medical, financial, and line of duty death benefits.


House Bill 146 which was introduced this year after the veto of HB 216 last year, has passed both the House and Senate, we are now awaiting the Governors signature.

The Firefighter Cancer Support Network

(FCSN) announced today it is providing occupational cancer awareness and prevention training to the Boston Fire Department (BFD)

We encourage and invite anyone interested in helping out with this effort to join and become involved; our efforts today will guide the future of how Georgia approaches and addresses fire service related cancer in the future, and as those that past before us did for us, it is our duty to act responsibly for those generations that are to follow.


Firefighter fired while recovering from cancer possibly caused by job

​FAIRBURN, GA (CBS46) - The city of Fairburn has terminated a firefighter recovering from cancer he may have contracted on the job.
